Detailed and customizable Reports are supported on Active Backup for Business for routine monitoring of IT admins about backup performance. Report Overview

Task Warning Error: All errors that occur during the selected time range will be displayed in the report. Storage: The use of storage in different time frames can be easily monitored here. Volume information: The volume storage information where the Active Backup for Business is installed is displayed.

Total backup size: Numbers refer to the original size of data backed up from the source side without changes to block tracking, compression, or deduplication. For example, if you back up 1TB of data to a NAS once a day, the total size of the reserve in a week is 7TB; however, this is NOT the total size that will be stored on your NAS.

Addition: Added abbreviations for PC deduplication data sizes, Physical Server, and VM backups, plus additional file server backups. You can mouse over each bar for detailed increment information that will be displayed on the top left of the chart in Report.

The empty space left on that day: This information is collected directly from the DSM and means the actual storage capacity remaining in the volume. Estimated date of space expired: Estimated date of space expired can vary according to the type of your report (daily / weekly / monthly / yearly).

Legend on graphics: There are different colors to show different devices, and navy blue means changes in data (increase) on the graph. Before sending a report via email, make sure the email notification settings have been activated on DSM> Control Panel> Notifications> Email. Fill in the required information and save the changes.

It is strongly recommended to send a trial email before closing the Control Panel to ensure availability of settings. Accessibility of users to reports depends on user rights and group permission settings belonging to the user. If one of the permissions is set to Reject, the user cannot access the Report.
