How DjVu Works

The secret of DjVu's advantages over other file formats is the technology it uses. DjVu has the ability to separate images into 3 parts, each of which is processed through stages of compression to produce new smaller documents.

The three parts are background, foreground and mask image. Background and Foreground are made to be lower resolutions, while the mask image section has a high resolution because the mask image is usually a place to store text. From this compression algorithm there are small documents but still have high resolution. So that the djvu file format if opened still looks sharp and comfortable to read.

Thus the complete discussion of the DjVu file format. Even though it is considered to have superior quality compared to PDF format, the DjVu file format is still badly defeated from PDF in terms of popularity. I don't know what makes this file less desirable.

Maybe because there are already many PDF file users. Those who already know the superiority of the DjVu format are reluctant to use these file types because they know they will find it difficult if the DjVu format file is shared with other people, because many people are likely to still not know much about this type of file.

Therefore, with this information, it is expected that those of you who now know the advantages of DjVu files can use it wisely. If you are an office worker, it might be better if your colleagues are notified of this file, so that all offices will get used to it, and the distribution of digital information in your office will be more efficient.
