Text Editor

Synology Cloud Station  the text editor is a very versatile text and code editor, allowing you to access and edit text or code files quickly on your Synology NAS directly from a web browser. For Internet Explorer, Text Editor only supports version 9 and above. File management To create a new file: Click File and select New. A new blank tab will appear titled New Document txt.

To open a file from the Text Editor, just click File and select Open. A dialog will appear and can select files with certain character encoding that must be opened in the tab. If the file has been opened, the Text Editor will show the file in its current state. To open a file from File Station: At File Station, just right-click on the selected file and then click Open with the Text Editor from the context menu.

If the file has been opened, the Text Editor will show the file in its current state. Another way to open files is to drag one or more files from the File Station to the Text Editor using the cursor. Text Editor cannot open files that exceed 10MB. To save files. Just click File and select Save. If this is an existing file, it will be overwritten with the current content.

Standard Operations

To close the file, just click File and select Close. Another way to close a file is to click the close button on each tab. If you have data that isn't saved in the file, the Text Editor will always ask if you want to close it without saving the changes.
